Can a vet come to my house?
Yes. Our mobile vet service allows one of our experienced vets to visit your home and provide many common veterinary services without the stress of travel, waiting rooms or car rides.
For many pets, especially cats, senior pets and anxious dogs, a home visit can make veterinary care calmer and more comfortable. It also allows our vets to see your pet in their normal environment, which can be especially helpful for behaviour, mobility and quality-of-life assessments.
Mobile vet visits for anxious pets
Some pets become stressed before they even arrive at the vet. Car travel, carriers, waiting rooms, other animals and unfamiliar environments can all make veterinary care harder.
A home visit allows your pet to stay in a familiar place where they feel safer. This can be especially helpful for anxious dogs, nervous cats, senior pets, or pets who have had stressful vet experiences in the past.
As a Fear Free and Calm Clinic team, we use gentle handling, patience and low-stress care to make each visit as comfortable as possible.
Mobile vet visits for cats
Cats often find vet visits stressful, especially if they dislike carriers, car rides or unfamiliar clinic smells.
A mobile vet visit can be a calmer option for many cats, allowing them to be examined at home without the stress of transport. This can be useful for routine check-ups, vaccinations, senior cat reviews, weight loss concerns, drinking changes, behaviour concerns and quality-of-life assessments.
If your cat needs blood testing, imaging or hospital treatment, we can guide you on whether a clinic appointment is needed.
Mobile vet care for senior pets
Older pets often benefit from care at home, especially if they have arthritis, mobility problems, anxiety, vision changes, cognitive decline or chronic disease.
During a senior pet home visit, our vets can assess your pet’s comfort, movement, appetite, weight, behaviour and quality of life. We can also discuss pain management, medication reviews, nutrition, mobility support and whether further testing may be helpful.
For ageing pets, home visits can make regular check-ups less stressful and more practical.
At-home palliative care and euthanasia
For pets in their final stage of life, being at home can provide comfort, privacy and dignity.
Our mobile vet service can support families with palliative care, quality-of-life assessments and at-home euthanasia where appropriate. We will guide you gently through your options and help you make decisions with compassion and honesty.
This service is designed to support both your pet and your family during a deeply emotional time.
Perfect for Households with Multiple Pets
Our Sydney mobile vet services are ideal for multiple-pet households. Instead of managing multiple trips to the vet, we bring high-quality care to your door, allowing our mobile vet to see all of your pets in a single, time-saving visit.

It’s always a great experience at The Village Vet in Pymble. Every staff member is so warm and friendly. My puppy Angel gets nervous at first, but always leaves with her tail wagging.

Martine and the team at Pymble Vet have been our local vet for about 15 years. They are the most loving and friendly team who honestly just adore every pet or injured wild animal that passes through their doors. Our beautiful Burmese cat, Mika loved all the girls and they all loved her back in return and cared for her like she was their own.
Over the years we have utilised their general and preventative health care, emergency care, cat boarding, at home services while we were away as well as end-of-life care for Mika, who we lost in July this year. Martine and the team were just amazing when it came to end-of-life care. They shared in our pain, were compassionate every step of the way and understood just how difficult it was to say goodbye to our girl. Gratefully, they took care of everything after she passed away.
We have two new Burmese kittens and they’ve just had their first visit to see Martine (and Taryn!). This first visit was so easy, we always trust in Martine’s advice, she’s such a wealth of knowledge and know our new girls, Mila and Luna will receive the best care.

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. My dog can’t wait to walk in the door! This is the first vet clinic he is happy to visit! I feel extremely confident that he is in very good hands.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend The Village Vet Pymble
The Village Vet Pymble is our new vet, and I couldn’t be happier after our first visit with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Hunter.
Like all fur mums, I’m always anxious about whether my babies are truly in good hands.(We changed our vets) Hunter means the world to me, so trust and kindness matter just as much as medical care.
From the moment we arrived, Hunter was treated with such gentleness and respect. Dr Gene Torre was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made both Hunter and me feel calm and supported. It honestly meant so much to see how genuinely caring she was with my boy.
I left feeling reassured, confident, and grateful that we’ve found a clinic where my dogs are not just treated as patients, but truly cared for.
Thank you to Dr Gene Torre and the team at The Village Vet Pymble for taking such beautiful care of Hunter. We’re so happy to have found you. 🐾💙

We cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful team at The Village Vet. Our Ruby has complex medical needs, and the care, compassion, and professionalism shown to her has been nothing short of outstanding.
In particular, Elle Burton Bradley, Taryn and Martine have been incredible – not only in the way they’ve looked after Ruby with such skill and kindness, but also in the way they’ve supported us as her owners through every step. Their patience, empathy, and dedication have given us enormous confidence and comfort, knowing Ruby is in the very best hands.
It’s rare to find such a combination of expertise and genuine care, and we are so grateful for all they continue to do.

Our Monkey the cat wanted me to make sure you knew what great care, attention, follow-up, and kindness she experienced at West Pymble Vets. She was seen by Elle, who helped her feel so much better, while Elle’s lovely assistant gave Monkey a manicure and pedicure, which absolutely made her day! This is a wonderful local vet clinic with a kind and caring team. Highly recommend!

I have experienced this Vet practice over many years and for routine plus traumatic events. I have always been so impressed with their professionalism, their caring and compassion as well as their obvious love and connection with animals. Taryn in reception is just the perfect person to greet animals and their owners to the practice, she is a joyous, interested and remembers your name beautifully and then the Vets and vet nurses are great listeners, gentle and knowledgeable. A fabulous resource in West Pymble, I am so grateful for them being here.

I was recommended your services by a close friend and within our first appointment, I had more answers and information than I had managed to gather in the last year. The care by our vet and the rest of the team was amazing and I so glad to have found you!

We’re so grateful to The Village Pymble Vet for their care and compassion during our beloved dog Dyson’s final days. Dr Anabel Thomas was incredibly kind, empathetic, and professional — her clear communication and gentle support meant the world to us. Thank you, Dr Thomas, and the entire team. You are a true credit to your profession.

My review will not do this vet practice justice – I wish I could give Village Vet 10 stars!
We could not be more impressed by the care that we and our pets have received by Doctor Martine and all her wonderful staff. We appreciate their expertise, honesty, integrity, and empathy on every visit.

I can’t recommend Pymble and Killara Vets more Highly. The care they have given to both our Boxer, and Frenchie from mild illness, injuries, through to major illness has been exceptional. During and after care is amazing. Martine and her whole team are to be commended.

What can a mobile vet do at home?
A mobile vet can provide many routine services at home, including health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, senior pet reviews, dental checks, behaviour consultations, palliative care and quality-of-life assessments. If your pet needs imaging, surgery, hospital care or emergency treatment, we may recommend a clinic visit.
Do vets do home visits on Sydney’s North Shore?
Yes. The Village Vet provides mobile vet visits across Sydney’s North Shore, including Pymble, Killara, Gordon, Lindfield, Turramurra, St Ives, Roseville, Chatswood, Willoughby, Wahroonga and Hornsby.
Are mobile vet visits good for anxious pets?
Yes. Many anxious pets feel calmer at home because they avoid car travel, waiting rooms and unfamiliar clinic surroundings. Home visits can be especially helpful for nervous cats, anxious dogs, senior pets and pets who find normal vet visits stressful.
Can a mobile vet vaccinate my dog or cat?
Yes. Vaccinations can often be performed during a home vet visit, along with a health check and preventative care discussion. Our team can advise which vaccinations your pet needs based on their age, lifestyle and health history.
Can a mobile vet see senior pets at home?
Yes. Mobile vet visits are often ideal for senior pets, especially those with arthritis, mobility issues, anxiety or chronic health conditions. A home visit allows us to assess comfort, movement, weight, appetite, behaviour and quality of life in a familiar environment.
Can a mobile vet come for more than one pet?
Yes. Mobile vet visits can be very convenient for multi-pet households because several pets can be seen in one appointment. This can save time and reduce stress compared with bringing multiple pets into the clinic.
Can you do blood tests during a mobile vet visit?
Some testing or sample collection may be possible during a mobile vet visit, depending on your pet and the reason for the appointment. If your pet needs more advanced diagnostics, imaging or hospital care, we may recommend a clinic appointment at Pymble or Killara.
When should I choose a clinic visit instead of a mobile vet?
A clinic visit may be better if your pet needs X-rays, ultrasound, surgery, dentistry, IV fluids, hospital monitoring or emergency care. If your pet is very unwell, struggling to breathe, collapsed or in severe pain, call us immediately or go to a 24-hour emergency hospital.
