Gold Standard Veterinary Care for Wahroonga Pets
Experience The Village Vet Difference
Looking for a trusted Wahroonga vet who offers more than rushed appointments and one-size-fits-all advice? At The Village Vet, we provide award-winning, independent veterinary care built on genuine relationships, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of each pet we care for.
Many of our long-term clients live in Wahroonga and choose to visit our West Pymble or East Killara clinics, or book a mobile vet appointment in Wahroonga when home care is more suitable. What keeps families with us year after year is simple: we take the time to listen, explain, and partner with you to make thoughtful decisions about your pet’s health.
Every recommendation is guided by what’s right for your pet, supported by honest conversations, clear options, and care that’s tailored to your family: not a corporate policy. Our recognition as a three-time Local Business Award winner reflects the trust our clients place in us and the standards we hold ourselves to every day.
Thoughtful, Fear Free Care Designed for Wahroonga Pets
Wahroonga’s lovely green streets and close connection to nature make it a wonderful place to share life with pets. They also bring specific health considerations. From walks at Cliff Oval and Golden Jubilee to homes bordering bushland, local pets can face risks such as ticks, fleas, snakes, and bush-related injuries. As an experienced Wahroonga vet, we focus heavily on prevention, early detection, and practical advice that helps pets stay well: not just treating problems once they escalate.
Supporting nervous pets is a core part of how we practise. As a Fear Free and Calm Clinic–certified practice, we use gentle handling, low-stress techniques, quiet consult spaces, and unrushed appointments to help pets feel safe and supported. This approach builds trust over time and makes veterinary visits more positive.

What Wahroonga Pet Owners Are Saying
Joanne Homeopath
Our dog Fernie is the biggest sook on the planet and tends to attract disaster. Needless to say we are extremely familiar with the wonderful team at The Village Vet. Fernie has had all manner of complications from a severed paw, chronic colitis, a large benign tumour removal on his front leg and testicular cancer as well as a number of other minor complaints. Every time we visit I know that he is going to receive the best care. Martine, Elle and every member of the team take the time to assess his needs and work out the best treatment plan for him. We don’t know how we would have coped with Fernie without the love and support of The Village Vet in both Pymble and Killara. We cannot recommend them highly enough. 🙏

I’m so happy with the team at The Village Vet Pymble!
Everyone there is genuinely lovely — warm, reassuring, and clearly passionate about animals. They always take such great care of my pets and make us both feel welcome every time we visit.
The vets explain things in a really easy, helpful way, and the nurses and reception team are always kind, patient, and ready with a smile. It honestly feels like visiting friends who just happen to be amazing at looking after animals.
Couldn’t ask for a better vet clinic. Highly recommend them! 💛🐾
Anja
Not only is the care and treatment provided on the day at The Village Vet always exceptional, the after care is amazing too. There’s always a text message or phone call to see how my dogs are doing post treatment.

I can’t recommend The Village Vet highly enough. I took my dog here when she was suffering from heart disease, and thanks to their expert care, we were able to enjoy more precious, quality time together. The entire team went above and beyond — they were compassionate, professional, and genuinely cared for her wellbeing. It’s clear that every member of staff truly loves what they do and treats each patient as if they were their own. I’ll always be grateful for the kindness and dedication shown to both of us during such a difficult time.

Have been going here for well over 10 years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my fur children. Friendly, extremely professional and knowledgeable.

I recently took my 7-month-old poodle to The Village Vet for desexing surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, carefully explaining the procedure and options beforehand, answering all our questions, and putting our minds at ease.
On the day of the surgery, they kept us updated with calls, letting us know how everything was going. They also followed up the next day to check on our puppy’s recovery and provided helpful advice.
Our puppy recovered quickly, and one of the best parts was their recommendation of a post-surgery suit instead of the traditional Elizabethan collar. Since our pup was in between sizes for the collar—too small for one, too big for another—it kept slipping off or didn’t provide enough protection. The surgery suit, with its cross-back belts, worked perfectly! It kept her wound protected while still allowing her to move comfortably and go to the toilet as usual.
Such a great experience overall—caring staff, excellent communication, and great post-surgery care. Highly recommend The Village Vet!

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. My dog can’t wait to walk in the door! This is the first vet clinic he is happy to visit! I feel extremely confident that he is in very good hands.
Janine Jones
Friendly, caring and professional staff in a calm environment. Martine and the team have always been genuinely concerned about the happiness and health of our dog Ted, who loves visiting the practice at Pymble because he knows he is going to get so much attention and affection (and treats!) from the minute he bounds through the door….
Peter Torok
A great group of people
A very friendly and helpful team
Always caring for our pets and us their owners as well
Always on the ball with reminders and checkups
We are so happy to have them as our vet

Frequently Asked Questions About Vets in Wahroonga
We don’t upsell or follow corporate treatment scripts. Our role is to explain what we’re seeing, outline your options clearly, and help you decide what feels right for your pet and your family. You’ll never be rushed or pushed.
Continuity of care is important to us. Wherever possible, we aim for you to see familiar vets and nurses so your pet is genuinely known, not reintroduced at every visit. This leads to better decision-making and a calmer experience for pets.
Absolutely. Supporting senior pets and the people who love them, is a big part of what we do. We focus on comfort, quality of life, and realistic planning, with honest conversations and compassionate guidance at every step.
Many Wahroonga pets come to us for this exact reason. Our Fear Free approach means we slow things down, adjust handling, and create a calmer experience. For some pets, we can even arrange care at home via our mobile vet service.
